In April 2010 ILP received its recertification for service delivery under the Queensland Disability Service Standards and the auditors commented that “Management and staff are once again to be highly commended on their dedication and commitment to the users of the service”.
Feedback from users of the service was very positive and a Service User Reference Group has been established since the previous audit empowering each individual have more “voice” on the decisions made about their life.
The organisations focus on continual improvement and a better understanding of the quality system by all staff will enhance the information available to staff and improve the value provided to stakeholders.
Our aim is to ensure that our quality management system is not something that is “done to ” but “done for ” the betterment of service delivery.
