Youth Engagement Program

The Youth Engagement Program is a collaborative initiative that provides outreach to young people engaging in high risk behaviours including survival sex, drug and alcohol use and offending.

The team delivers services primarily within the Mooloolaba to Peregian areas and as far west as Nambour and has a role is assisting where public space issues have impacted upon young people and communities.

The program assists young people to make connections with support services and provides responsive interventions to young people who lack links to supportive networks and services.

The Caloundra/Maroochydore YACCA Service delivers crime prevention outcomes by building on existing community strengths and resources. It does this through the provision of court support, a flexi school at the Dept of Youth Justice, Mooloolaba and through the provision of flexible brokerage to fund community based crime prevention projects or activities
