Assessment and Service Connect

Assessment and Service Connect (ASC) seeks to increase the safety of children, young people and families, ensuring children are cared for, protected and able to reach their full potential.

ASC receives referrals from the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women, in relation to notifications of harm, or alleged risk of harm. ASC is a voluntary service, supporting children, young people and families to identify goals that increase their safety, sense of belonging and wellbeing. Assisting them to connect with the right support services, at the right time and in the right place.

IFYS provides an ASC response on the Sunshine Coast, in the Moreton Bay Region and in Cairns and the surrounding Child Safety catchment areas.

Emergency Relief Program

Emergency Relief Program – Budget creation, financial well-being and financial capability and resilience building. 

Emergency Relief Program helps individuals and families on the Sunshine Coast assess and address an immediate financial crisis. Our staff will assist service users improve budgeting skills, refer through to agencies or services if more support is required, empower client/s with information to be able to find and access help and then ultimately, move to create, set and achieve financial goals.

Young Parents Support Program

The Young Parents Program supports young mums and dads on the Sunshine Coast, up to 25 years of age. Support and programs are tailored to the needs of young pregnant and parenting families. The Program offers a safe space for families to engage in activities that strengthen their ability to parent, to access information and support in the community and build networks. Families are supported to work towards goals which will help them reach their full potential.

Sunshine Coast Domestic and Family Violence Services System Coordination Service

The Sunshine Coast Domestic and Family Violence Service System Coordination Services (SCDFVSSCS) supports the coordination of services available to people escaping family and domestic violence on the Sunshine Coast. The service, working collaboratively with the sector, is seeking to ensure consistent, professional and coordinated responses to make sure victims and their children are safe, while holding perpetrators to account.

REBECCA Program

The REBECCA program is an education program, for young people who identify as women aged up to 25 years within the Sunshine Coast who are at high risk of experiencing domestic and family violence.
