Emergency Relief

We provide Emergency Relief to people who are experiencing short term, financial crisis. Access to food supplies and referrals are available.

Venue Hire

The rooms of the Centre are hired out to various community members.  Please contact the Centre to discuss fees and availability on 54383000.

Located off David Low Way, next to Jack Morgan Park and only a short stroll to Coolum Beach, the Coolum Civic Centre is a large multi-functional facility that lends itself to a range of activities and events, from theatre productions and weddings to dance and fitness classes.

The Coolum Civic Centre has a maximum capacity of 350 persons and is an ideal setting for your special event.  The hall is supported by a stage, complete with a large backstage area, including changing rooms.  There is also rear access to the stage, via the loading dock, ideal for loading live music equipment.

The kitchen is fully equipped with domestic appliances, along with a large selection of crockery and cutlery.  Adjacent to the foyer, the kitchen has a serving counter.

In addition to the hall, there is a meeting room suitable for up to 20 people and a community room which can accommodate 6-8 people for small informal meetings.

There is limited public parking onsite for upto 30 vehicles.

Beerwah Youth and Community Centre (BYCC) is a community based program geared to respond to the needs ofpeople within a string of communities located along the Sunshine Coast’s eastern railway corridor. The program is able to provide: counselling and intensive support services; accommodation referral; employment assistance; advocacy; mediation; developmental workshops and recreation through partnering programs and agencies.

The Beerwah Youth and Community Centre is open Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 3pm.

The Centre currently offers the following programs:

Youth Engagement and Linkage service (YELS)

YELS assists young people aged between 12 and 18 years who live on the Sunshine Coast who are engaging in high risk behaviours, are disengaged from family, school or their community. 

The team delivers services between Caloundra to Noosa in the Sunshine Coast Regional Council areas where particular public space issues have impacted upon young people and communities. The program assists young people to make connections with support services and provides responsive interventions to young people who lack links to supportive networks and services. 

YELS worker’s can assist with a range of referrals and provide individual client support, including but not limited to:

• Education, Employment and Training.

• Health Services.

• Financial Assistance and Emergency Transport.

• Housing.

• Family and Relationship Support.

• Access to Drug and Alcohol Services.

• Legal Support.

• Referrals to  Specialist visiting Services including Centrelink, Counselling and Employment Services.

Reconnect is a free and confidential service that helps young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to stabilise their living situation. We assist in finding a tailored solution suitable for the young person and their family’s unique circumstances.  Some of the services we provide include counselling, mediation, group activities and practical support for the whole family. IFYS Program – Young Parents Support Program (YPSP)

Young Parents Support Program holds a Playgroup once a week, except School Holidays. This is a free service with food and activities supplied. YPSP provides information, support, advocacy and referral to young parents aged to 26 years. For further information please contact 5479 5898.
