A COVID-19 Message from IFYS
As the country’s resolve is tested in ways that we couldn't imagine, at IFYS we continue to follow the developing situation around the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and respond as each new development occurs. The IFYS Executive Leadership Group are meeting regularly to ensure our service response remains the best it can be to the many communities we serve.
While many organisations are rapidly trying to figure out how to adjust to a remote labour force, at IFYS we are fortunate to have the IT facilities to establish a remote environment quickly where required. We have the appropriate tools and processes to continue to serve our clients and support each other throughout this unfolding health crisis. We will continue to operate business as usual where we can and will be available to support the many children, young people and families in our care; however, in line with government guidelines and directives, we are restricting travel for our team and limiting face-to-face contact across our service where required, to ensure we play our part in not spreading this virus. We will monitor and re-assess the situation on an ongoing basis.
As an agency, we currently have systems in place to host virtual meetings and for the foreseeable future this will be how our teams will conduct ongoing service delivery with clients where face-to-face contact is not recommended or limited due to the possible spread of COVID-19. Our service delivery such as Foster Care, Youth Outreach, Young Parents Programs and all service administration will operate within this environment.
All our 24-hour care facilities for young people and people living with a disability will remain operational and staffed. The health of our clients, carers and staff is our highest priority and as such we will monitor all our services and facilities constantly to ensure they remain COVID-19 free and safe to operate.
I wish our communities a speedy and safe recovery as we continue to work together collectively to support service continuity and each other. If you have specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Communications Manager, Mr Paul Morton, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Paul will be able to facilitate answers to any questions you may have.
Please remember IFYS is here to support you during these unprecedented times. Above all, stay safe and healthy.
